How AI video telematics actually works
A dashcam that only records is an archive nobody opens. What changes behaviour is a camera that decides, on the device, that something just happened — and sends the twenty seconds around it.

The device decides what matters, not the network
Tailgating, lane departure, forward collision risk, handheld phone use, smoking, drowsiness and absence of a seatbelt are all detected by the camera itself. This is the design decision the whole product rests on — uploading everything to be analysed elsewhere would cost more in data than the system saves.

Only the event travels
Ten seconds before and ten seconds after, a few megabytes, tagged with position, speed and the driver identified by their RFID card. A day of footage nobody watches never leaves the vehicle.

It attaches to that driver’s record and goes into a weekly review. In practice most behaviour changes the first time a driver is shown video of themselves doing it — which is the entire point, and why a camera used only for punishment stops working within a month.
